Avocado & Grapefruit Salsa

Is there anything better than freshly made salsa? We really don’t think so. Especially when there’s cilantro involved. There’s something about the combination of fresh, green avocado, red onions, spicy jalapenos and a tart Florida grapefruit that just says summer.
Fight the lull of a long day by serving this with chips or crackers for a midday snack. This light snack provide energy boosting compounds like Vitamin B that can really give your body a burst of energy. Throw it on chicken or fish, or even add it to tacos for a unique twist on dinner. With so much versatility, the options are endless.

Avocado & Grapefruit Salsa



ingredients

1/2 SweeterSorts grapefruit, segmented and chopped
1 ripe avocado, diced
1/4 cup chopped red onion, diced
1 tbsp. lime juice
2 tbsp. jalapenos, seeded and minced
2 tbsp. chopped cilantro
Salt & ground black pepper to taste

instructions

1. Combine all of the ingredients and gently toss

2. Allow it to sit together for at least 30 minutes for flavors to combine

3. Top off your favorite fish recipe with the salsa or add it to tacos. It also works great as an appetizer with chips.
